Call for submissions for Episodes 26 and 27.

Some advance information about next two episodes of Poetry Worth Hearing.

September's episode will have the theme 'inside / outside'. This is deliberately all-embracing and you might be thinking along the lines of indoors or outdoors, appearance and reality, physical and mental -whatever. Recordings of up to 4 minutes of hitherto unpublished poems plus texts plus author bio should reach me by September 18th at poetryworthhearing@gmail.com

October's episode will have the theme 'canonical'. What is the canon? still mainly dead white men? or has it expanded to be more diverse, more global? How do you feel about the great poems that Michael Gove and Jacob Rees Mogg think are good for us? Are they? Can you write poetry without caring about Shakespeare, Keats, Yeats, Dickinson, Plath (not all men but all white)? Is the canon dead and can you ignore it or is it live and evolving? Whether you are writing in it or against it, send me up to 4 minutes of hitherto unpublished poems plus texts plus author bio by October 18th at poetryworthhearing@gmail.com.

I hope you have all had or are having a wonderful summer and I look forward to hearing from you.
